University Sports Participation
During the academic year of 2012-13, the students of our college participated in various Calicut University Inter-Collegiate tournaments. The list of events in which our college participated are,

During the competition Chess team finished at fourth position and Mr. Arjun Satheesh (S1. IT) became the Individual Champion of the tournament.
All India Participation
Mr. Arjun Satheesh , student of S1 Information technology Engineering participated in the All India Inter University Chess Tournament (2012-13) on behalf of Calicut University Chess team . He was acclaimed as the "Silver board Player" of the tournament.
Mr. Arjun Satheesh , also brought glory to our college by playing for the Indian Chess Team in the Common Wealth Games 2013, held at Chennai. Mr.Arjun is a renowned chess player who has made his presence felt at various international level competitions.

Intra-mural Competitions
Football Tournament
We conducted department wise Football tournament for students in which 12 teams participated. Mr.Shaji, Assistant Registrar,C.U.I.E.T, inaugurated the tournament on 08 -01-2012. The following teams emerged as the champions and Runner ups respectively,

Runner-Up - ME A Team
During the event, a tournament for the staff members was also conducted, which involved 4 teams.The ME staff team emerged as the champions and the Combined staff team as runners.
In the closing ceremony Principal Mr. Mathew C. George distributed medals and certificate to all the winners and runner up.
Chess Tournament
Inter-class Chess tournament and selection trials were conducted from 25th to 29th of July 2012. College Principal Mr. Mathew C. George, inaugurated the tournament. Thirty students participated and the following players were selected to college team.

Annual Athletic Meet 2012-13
Department of Physical Education, CUIET, successfully hosted the Annual Athletic Meet on 5th February 2013. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Shivarajan and Dr. Sakeer Hussain V.P, Deputy Director, Dept. of Physical Education, Calicut University, performed the lighting of the torch. All the competitions were conducted department-wise. A total of four departments took part in the event, which are, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics , Information Technology and Printing Technology combined.
At the end of all the events, Electrical Department emerged as the winners with 74 points. Mechanical Department finished behind them as the runner-ups with 68 points.

During the closing ceremony,our Principal, Mr. Mathew C. George, distributed the trophies and medals to the winners.
Carrom Tournament 2012-13
We the members of Physical Education department, organized a carrom tournament which was intented for the staff members of our college on 14 th of May 2013.Mr. Shaji, Asst. Registrar, C.U.I.E.T, inaugurated the tournament. At the end of the tournament, Mr. Praveen Mathew and Mr. Jithin K. were declared as winners in the Mens's section and Miss. Mithuna and Miss. Liphi T.A, in the women's category.
