Electrical Engineers are involved in the field of Generation, Protection, Transmission, Distribution and Application of electrical energy. They are also involved in the field of the electricity that brightens our home and empowers our machinery. Electrical Engineering deals with the study of Electricity, Electronics, Electromagnetism, Electric Field Theory, Electromagnetic Field Theory, DC Machines, AC Machines, Electrical drawing, Electrical machine design, Electrical System Design and Estimation, Electrical Material Science, Electrical Measurements and Measuring Instruments, Analog and Digital Electronics, Electrical Drives, Power Electronics, and their application. Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department was established in the year 2001 -2002 with initial sanctioned strength of 60. The last two decades have thrown up new varieties of opportunities like design and application of Photo-Voltaic cells, fuel cells, Energy efficient drives, wind conversion turbines, etc. They work closely with all streams of engineering such as mechanical, aeronautical, chemical and electronics to address a wide range of interdisciplinary issues. The department's ultimate goal is to kindle the creativity and new thoughts among the students by providing them with a lot of basic and advanced information and to make a bright career and higher studies for the students.
To provide a quality teaching and learning environment to produce Electrical and Electronics Engineers having a strong theoretical foundation, good design experience and exposure to research and development. To inculcate value based, socially committed professionalism for overall development of students and society. To develop and disseminate technology and help create systems to meet the energy requirement of the nation.
To develop as a centre of excellence in Electrical and Electronics Engineering to mould competent, committed and compassionate engineering professionals with best technical, analytical, innovative and interactive skills.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department was established in the year 2001 -2002 with initial sanctioned strength of 60. The department has ten faculty members. Well qualified faculty and skilled supporting staff are the strengths of the department.
